Happy Birthday, Baby Girl

A second birthday. My first daughter’s second birthday. My daughter’s first second birthday.

Not that she’s planning on having a second second birthday.

She’s smart and funny and cares about other people, and she also sometimes only likes them because they have macaroni.

She’s beautiful and perfect and I’m trying to teach her how to say “My irrational intractability is infuriating to my parents.”

She’s sweet and loves bedtime and hates being interrupted as she goes about her business.

She’s my daughter. She’s my first. She’s my baby girl. She is always my baby girl. Even when she tries to bite my face off or scratch my eyes out. She’s the most exuberant person I know.

Happy Birthday to your sweet baby! I love looking at the two pictures of her in your backpack...how much she's grown! And her cute little piggy tails are to die for! I can see how you would be happy to let her bite your face off but keep her away from your eyes...you're gonna need those and a large stick when she becomes a teenager! :)

Happy Birthday, Erin. :)

My second son will be two next month. It feels like a lifetime since he was born ... but also like it's gone by in a flash.

Kids mess with you like that.

Hope you all have a great day!

Happy birthday to sweet Erin.

I look forward to your new year of giving your parents a special type of grief that only a two year old can deliver.

Happy second, Erin. What a little girl she's becoming. Those pigtails are making my ovaries tingle. And I have a four-month-old, so my ovaries have no buisness tingling.

Best wishes for a happy second birthday, sweet baby girl! May you have at least one hundred more!!

Congratulations to the parents of eye-scratching, face biting, bundle of exuberant cuteness for making it 2 years AND choosing to embark on another round...

BTW this is her last birthday as an only child, no? Something to celebrate. It's like the first time around. After the 2nd one is here you will totally understand why you should have celebrated this seemingly insignificant detail.

A little late, I know, but happy birthday to your beautiful little girl!!

Love the phrase you are trying to teach her. Too bad you can't find another word to mean "parents" that starts with "i." That would really do the alliteration.

Hope her birthday was really happy. So sweet and it goes by so fast. Why, before you know it, you'll be intimidating her prom date!

Awwww, happy birthday sweet girl!

Wish I could still put my sweet little girl in her backpack without breaking something, you know, like my back! She loved riding in that thing!

I agree with WM, when you get her to say that you must put the sound bite up.
