A Decade Ago in Short Conversations

“Shawn, what the hell are you thinking? It’s 2 in the afternoon. Emily is still getting her hair done. Are you going to pace around in your tux for three hours before we go? Idiot.”

****************************************************************************************************

“If you don’t shave that goatee off for today all of the guys are going to hold you down and we’ll shave it off for you.”

****************************************************************************************************

“Hey Denise, can you do me a favour and go to my car and get my Star Wars Soundtrack cd and give it to the DJ?”

****************************************************************************************************

“Hey Shannon, can you do me a favour and help arrange a table for the eight extra family members who just showed up after traveling across the entire country to be here today but who also didn’t RSVP?”

*****************************************************************************************************

“I do.”

“I do.”

******************************************************************************************************

“What the hell?? I thought you said we weren’t going to do the cake-in-the-face thing.”

*******************************************************************************************************

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day….”

*******************************************************************************************************

“I don’t want to leave yet. Let’s pay the limo driver to stick around for another hour.”

And so we did.

"You're wearing THAT?...Okay, next time don't say a word about my red sweat pants. In fact, where are they? I think I'll put them on right now."

I got something along the lines of this...

Happy Anniversary. Hard to believe you've rockin' the goatee for 10 years. When you commit to something you really commit, don't you?

Epic, Mr Dad. Happy anniversary. And HA! I've totally been married longer than you! Again, I am superior. (I also had a little bastard baby. Bygones.)

Happy Anniversary!!

I'm totally even better than Mr. Lady. I have been married longer than both of you and not only did I have a bastard child but I was knocked up with the next one.

Oh ya. Class at it's finest.

So. When are you going to post a pic of you without the goatee, Tight Pants Shawn?

I don't see what the big deal about the goatee was. But please tell me you didn't really play the Star Wars soundtrack at your wedding.

Happy Anniversary. And good to know we weren't the only ones who used music from Star Wars. Actually, when the bridal party was announced at the reception, we used the Throne Room song as the entrance music. It was awesome.

Happy Anniversary!

At least you didn't hear the words "dig the ditches to run the water off" multiple times the day of your outdoor wedding like I did.

I'm not still bitter or anything...

I dig your blog and the contributions you make to Blogopolis, so I gave you an award over at my blog - come and get it!

LOL! That's great! Mine was 'Hey, let's have another shot of Crown behind the chapel in 100 degree weather while the bride-to-be is getting ready.'
Gah.
By the way, I don't always comment like I used to, but I read as often as I can, and OMG, you have gotten HUGE! 35 comments on one post??? GO YOU!!!
