Going on a date, BBL

Emily and I are running away to San Francisco tonight to stay at some crazy Japanese hotel in Japantown.

We are also going to have noodles.

Thank goodness for mothers-in-law who are willing to drive 6 hours to sit with their granddaughters for one night.

I too have a mother-in-law willing to do that! She is great.

Have fun. Don't slurp. I predict more fireworks if you don't slurp the noodles.....

Yeah, what Black Hockey Jesus says.

yeah- that noodle thing, is that a euphemism for something? or are we just all in the gutter? heh.

We had a date tonight too! Not a stay-overnight date, but a date just the same. 'twas lovely. Hope yours is great!

Have a great time...and buy some flowers for grandma. I can't get my mother to drive 30 minutes so I can go to a movie with my hubby!

I had noodles today. I think it's safe to say I had them in every way implied here. I had to dump my kids at the door of an older couple who may or may not have been my inlaws. They live 30 minutes away, and I left the car running so I could get away fast after depositing the kids at their door. To have this magical six-hour grandparent would be like noodles raining from the sky to me. In every implied way.

It is my pleasure BPD.
Because, while you and Emily are having some alone time, I get to have grandma time with that baby...

Dude, can you get your mother in law to talk to my mother. She is like TWENTY MINUTES AWAY and drives past our house constantly on her way to places and won't sit for us...

Have fun. I am not jealous or anything... grrrrrrr.

You need to bring back your mother in law a nice gift. Heck, you are probably getting laid right now thanks to her. LOL

Dude. I envy your location for getting busy (and pretty much everything else). I could travel the same distance and visit Evanston, Wyoming. Yippee.

Grandma's rock. Both of my kids grandmas will baby-sit anytime I need or want them too.

Have a great time.

Still giggling over the noodle line.

Heh.

Me, I don't like noodles. I'm all about the rice.

There's gotta be a catchier name than Japantown. "Little Tokyo" springs to mind, but I think they could do even better.

Have fun-- those kind of breaks are great, and grandparents are definitely God's gift to parents.

P.S. I'm assume to follow the Japanese convention, you guys plan to slurp your noodle(s)?

My sister-in-law drove in about 1.5 hours or so to look after hours Friday night so we could go tromp around in the bush on Friday, too. So awesome.

mrs. schmitty: filled up her car.

FADKOG: I thought Tool Man was out of town.....

disneyland_grandma: thanks again, grandma :}

loralee: Dude, I so want to go to Evanston.
